Welcome to our second Le Mas Candille Staff Spotlight!
At Le Mas Candille, we are nothing without our team. They are the first to welcome our guests and ensure everything goes well before they leave. We have decided to honor our excellent staff with ‘Staff Spotlights’ to really put names to faces – be it the reception team, the kitchen or the restaurants, the housekeeping, or the back office.
~ Tell us a little about yourself… ~
My name is Charlotte. I am 30 years old. I have 2 beautiful boys Quincy (5 years old) and Owen (1 year old). I did my studies in international tourism and hospitality management. I went to a business school in Sophia Antipolis “Skema,” 2 years in France then I finished my studies in Australia where I lived for 4 years. I got my Masters from Griffith University.
This experience was very rewarding on both a personal and professional level. I met some Australians with whom I kept in contact today. My first child was born in Australia, by the way. This experience will remain engraved forever.
~ What brought you to Mas Candille? ~
When I came back from Australia 2 years ago, I was looking for a nice place to start my career. I applied and here I am!
I was first at the Reception, and now I’m in Commercial.
~ What are you going to miss most about Reception? ~
I like the contact with customers. Engaging with them is often very rewarding. They come from all over the world. That’s what I will miss most.
~ What excites you the most about your new position in the Commercial Department? ~
The position of commercial attaché is one that suits me perfectly. I really like organising things in my personal and professional life, as well as collaborating with the other services of the hotel. In this post we work a lot with the kitchen, the restaurant and reception. A good agreement between the services is necessary!
~ What is your favorite thing to do on the French Riviera? ~
I really like going to the beach!
~ What are your main recommendations to guests (with and without children) and why? ~
Summer with children: On the Riviera there are several amusement parks, animal or aquatic such as Marineland, Antibesland, Aquasplash. The kids are crazy for it.
There’s also the exotic gardens and the oceanographic museum in Monaco, and the Phoenix Park in Nice.
Summer without children: There’s a lot of hiking to do especially around Andon, Gourdon, Eze and Saint Paul de Vence, as well as a visit to the glass factory in Biot.
In summer, I especially advise guests to go see the Iles de Lerins. The view is beautiful and the coves for swimming are fabulous.
In winter, I suggest the perfumeries of Grasse. Making your own perfume is a fantastic souvenir.
~ Where is your dream vacation destination? ~
My dream destination is French Polynesia. Its turquoise blue waters and landscapes are magnificent!
~ What do you do with your free time? ~
My children take up a lot of time. I like spending time with them. Going to the park, biking, bowling…
~ Dogs or cats? ~
I am rather a dog person. I have a brown pinsher at home!
Stay tuned for our next Staff Spotlight!
