What’s a Chatbot?

A chatbot is a software application designed to conduct a live, online chat conversation.

This is instead of directly speaking with an employee, meaning our chatbot is available 24/7, and convenient for our clients all over the world!

Here, we’ll take you through the basic steps of how to use Le Mas Candille’s chatbot.


Start the Conversation!

When you open Le Mas Candille’s website, you’ll notice our chatbox in the bottom right corner of the screen.

The chatbox is available in English, French, and Spanish, which you can select from a drop-down menu.

At the beginning of the chat, the chatbox will suggest some topics for you to select to narrow the details of your search query.

You’ll be able to choose between reservations, general questions about the hotel, our location, pre-arrival arrangements, attractions in the local area, and queries in light of Covid-19.

You also have the option to type in your query, regardless of whether it fits into the above categories.


If you select ‘reservations’, the chat will first ask whether you have an existing reservation. It will then offer you the below selection of topics and will respond until you say you’ve had the response you were searching for.

General Hotel Questions 

If you select ‘about the hotel’, the chatbot will offer you a variety of information about Le Mas Candille in different categories, including the rooms, location, and more.

As the chatbot narrows down your query, you’ll find the questions require more detail. This is so the chatbot can better help you to resolve your question. For example, when you select ‘Food and Drink’ you will be given the option of discussing the process for dealing with dietary restrictions while staying at the hotel.


 Selecting ‘location’ will enable the chatbot to dish out more general knowledge about Le Mas Candille’s home town, Mougins, the local area, and more.

The chatbot can also help you to organize transport from Nice Airport once you arrive in our region!


This option will also allow you to arrange your airport and train station pick-ups and transport to the hotel, whether this is privately done with Le Mas Candille or suggestions for using public transport.

Additionally, you’ll be able to find out about the weather, packing recommendations, and any special requests!


When you click on ‘Attractions’, the chatbot will suggest topics including local tourist attractions, information about Le Mas Candille’s favourite beaches, and other leisure activities in the area as well as more details about the Spa Candille.


Lastly, the chatbox can answer all of your questions about staying at the hotel during the Covid-19 pandemic. This is an area where the chatbot is especially useful as it is very capable in dealing with individual needs and requests.
