English tradition with French flair

Freshly baked cakes filled with crème patissiere, dainty sandwiches placed on a tiered stand and steaming hot pots of your favourite tea blend.

As much as we love French cuisine, the ritual of English afternoon tea is a tradition worth savouring. At Le Mas Candille we offer a Provençal take on things, with each element prepared lovingly by head chef Basile Arnaud.

During summer you can enjoy your afternoon tea on our sun-dappled terrace, in the midst of our French country garden. As the weather cools, our selection is served in the bar with its cosy, crackling fireplace providing a gentle soundtrack.

Afternoon Tea includes:

  • Savoury sandwiches: smoked salmon and dill, chicken with fresh herb mayonnaise, cucumber with mint cream cheese.
  • Petit fours: handmade macarons, tartlets, chocolate bonbons and cookies
  • Scone with Devonshire clotted cream and Lucien Georgelin fruit jam
  • Selection of fine treats from Palais des Thés, coffee by Nespresso and Louis Roederer Theophile Champagne
