We've taken some of the most common questions of our guests, and answered them here. From logistical queries such as French visa requirements and airport transfers, to in-depth info about our three stunning swimming pools, here's all you need to know.

Do I need a visa to travel to France?
EU nationals don't need a visa to visit France. If you’re a UK, USA or Canadian citizen, you currently do not need a visa to visit Europe for stays of less than 90 days. Check that your passport is valid for at least six months after your planned travel date. Citizens of other countries should check their government's website for guidance.

How do I get to/from the airport?
Nice International Airport is the closest international airport to Le Mas Candille. There are numerous buses and trains available. Taxis vary in cost but are usually €90 on average. What are the food options at Le Mas Candille?
Le Mas Candille has three places to eat. There's the Michelin-starred, gastronomic Le Candille (re-opening in 2022) and the Le Bistrot du Mas which serves authentic food crafted from local produce. The more casual, poolside La Pergola is an ideal spot for drinks. Room service is available around the clock. We're proud to offer some excellent vegetarian and vegan options. Those with allergies and intolerances should alert our staff so that we can accommodate these needs.

What is breakfast like at Le Mas Candille?
Every morning we host a full breakfast buffet in our restaurant from 7am to 11am, alongside an à la Carte menu. Take your breakfast out onto Le Mas Candille’s stunning terrace and soak up the morning sun while you indulge in freshly brewed coffee and sticky French toast.

Are guests allowed to bring pets with them to Le Mas Candille?
Needless to say, Le Mas Candille is a very relaxing environment for pets with plenty of space for them to explore in our grounds. If you would like to bring your pet along with you, please contact us beforehand. Our team would be delighted to work with you to accommodate the needs of your four-legged friend.

Is there a gym at Le Mas Candille?
Absolutely! This is no dingy basement fitness centre, however. Our gym is set outdoors, in the Japanese garden of Spa Candille. Enjoy the stunning views of Grasse and the pre-Alpes in the distance. The outdoor setting is wonderful motivation, and also gives you the opportunity to enjoy the Riviera's year-round temperate climate. The gym includes state-of-the-art equipment such as rowing machine, cross trainer, treadmill, weights, and more.

What is nearby to Le Mas Candille?
Le Mas Candille is located a mellow five-minute amble to the charming old town centre of Mougins. Take a stroll along the main road and admire the views of Grasse, enjoy a coffee in the main square by the fountain or get lost in the winding alleys and endless art galleries.

Is it possible to go on day trips from Le Mas Candille?
Le Mas Candille is ideally located between the beach, mountains, and Provence back-country so there are plenty of opportunities to explore. Grasse, Nice, Monaco and the Côte d’Azur beaches are all within easy striking distance. For a bespoke experience, chat to our knowledgeable staff about what you like. Will I be able to park my car at Le Mas Candille?
Le Mas Candille has secure, free, guest-only parking. When you reserve your room, please let us know that you're planning to bring your own car. That way we can keep space free for you. We have friendly voituriers at your service to take excellent care of your vehicle throughout your stay.

Is Le Mas Candille kid friendly?
Le Mas Candille is open to guests of all ages. Note that our main pool is age restricted for safety reasons, but we have another that little ones can use too. If you need some alone time, we're happy to organise babysitting.

How many pools does Le Mas Candille have?
Le Mas Candille has three swimming pools and two Jacuzzis. As well as the large Pergola pool, which is located near La Bastide, there is also the smaller, more shaded Mas pool above the reception. Spa Candille boasts its own hydrotherapy pool. Both of our Jacuzzis are outdoors. One is located in the Japanese garden in Spa Candille, and is undoubtedly the most peaceful spot for a soak. The other is beneath the Pergola pool, surrounded by terraces with a gentle waterfall trickling nearby. Slip in at sunset to watch the sun go down over the colourful hills of Grasse.

Are the swimming pools all the same depth? 
Our swimming pools vary in depth. The smaller, child-friendly swimming pool measures 1.5m. In contrast La Pergola's pool is largely the same depth throughout – one reason why it's restricted to those aged 16 or older. While the Spa Candille’s hydrotherapy pool is quite small and not too deep, it is fitted with powerful underwater jets so is not suitable for children. 

Can only hotel guests use the pools?
Only guests spending at least one night at Le Mas Candille can use La Pergola’s swimming pool and our smaller Mas swimming pool. Unfortunately, external guests popping in for lunch at La Pergola or the Bistrot may not use the pool unless they're staying the night. External guests of the Spa Candille may use the hydrotherapy pool, Spa Jacuzzi and other spa facilities if their treatment includes this option.

Do the pools have lifeguards? 
Unfortunately, as the swimming pools are private, they do not have attending lifeguards. We ask our guests to please take care when swimming and to make use of our swimming pools at their own risk. If any guests would like a swimming aid, such as a floatation device, please contact the team at reception or La Pergola.

Does Le Mas Candille have any special offers on?
