As part of its sustainable development policy, Le Mas Candille commits to act actively and aims to be a socially and environmentally responsible hotel establishment.

Thanks to its various actions implemented, Le Mas Candille aims to have a positive impact on society and to respect the environment.

Since 2019, Le Mas Candille has made new commitments by implementing concrete and quantifiable actions. In order to achieve the objectives set, it actively works in collaboration with local actors specialized in sustainable development.

Among the various daily actions to fully contribute to sustainable development, here are some significant actions:

The implementation of recycling – A best practice of recycling is implemented with the separation of different types of waste, in each department from the kitchens to administrative offices.

The installation of a composter – The bio-waste of our restaurants’ preparations (Le Bistrot du Mas and Le Candille) will be recovered in order to be placed in a composter. This compost will be used by our gardener for planting within our grounds.

The recovery of soaps from the hotel – The recovery of this waste can be implemented in order to be able to recycle the soaps to repackage them for people in difficulty through the Unisoap association which recycles the soaps for humanitarian purposes.

The recovery of cigarette butts – The selective recovery of cigarette butts allows less pollution because they will not end up incinerated. – This selective recovery of cigarette butts is collected and then processed by the Mé-Go company, which specializes in cleaning up and transforming cigarette butts into raw materials for manufacturing.

Beehives in the park – Beehives will be installed in the park of Le Mas Candille in order to offer our own honey for breakfast or to include it in our own dishes – These hives represent an additional ecological gesture and reflect a strong desire to respect nature.

Le Mas Candille also promotes as a part of its culinary philosophy, the supply of produce with local producers and respect for the seasons in the cuisine offered, as well as a wide selection of organic wines.
