Do you dream of wandering round a French market, enjoying the colourful sights, enticing scents & quintessential sounds of France?  Then be sure to visit Le Mas Candille on Saturday April 8th as they hold their local produce & suppliers market on the beautiful terrace of Le Candille, the gastronomic restaurant which has held its Michelin star since 2005 & is headed by David Chauvac, a local from Cannes.

Here you will meet with the best of the best local suppliers, who will share with you their knowledge & expertise, tips & ideas on how best to use their products in your own dishes.

Take in the stunning view towards the perfume capital of Grasse while watching live demonstrations from David & his team, including Olivier Roth, chef patisserie. I was lucky to attend their markets last year so can give you a glimpse into the delights that await you on April 8th from 10am to 6pm. I swear I can still remember the taste & smells from the live cooking demos!

Remember, there is ample free parking at the hotel, or you can park in the village and stroll down the hill after an amble round the village galleries and museums. We highly recommend a visit to the Mougins Museum of Classical Art (MACM) and the Photography Museum.

Our other favourite markets in the Côte d’Azur are:

  1. Valbonne on a Friday morning
  2. Forville in Cannes, daily
  3. Antibes, mornings only.

And why not check out the Afternoon Tea – It’s amazing!
