How Le Mas Candille came to be
An authentic French farmhouse and olive farm, the original property and beautiful grounds were sold in 1966 and opened as a three star hotel shortly after.
In 2000, Le Mas Candille was bought by its current owners and after 18 months of extensive renovations, reopened as a five star hotel.
Their hard work paid off when the fine dining restaurant, Le Candille, was awarded a highly prized Michelin Star in 2005.
As well as establishing a reputation both locally and internationally for wonderful food, the Spa has attracted world-wide acclaim too.
With a background in gyms and spas, the hotel’s President, Mark Silver, put Le Mas Candille firmly on the five star pampering map when he opened the first Shiseido Spa in Europe, a leading Japanese brand that provides beauty care for mind, body and soul.
Since then, it has become an ESPA, as well as a Phytomer Spa partner, a France based beauty company offering iconic skin care.
